I kick to some degree daily. LOL!

    1. I still h/n gotten back to my MTD Mower to ck
the carb settings and etc. looking for
reasons for using excessive gas. My
back-up Murray is taking it’s turn cutting in the rotation. We have some nice cool damp weather in North
      Tx allowing some other needs.
    2. I did a pass and review on the recent gate
hinges to not see the gate swinging. I
called the neighbor and he reported it’s hung but he has not seen the gate
used. The electric gate needed more that
than hinges adapted. I’ll hope to see it
      swing soon
    3. On my property, it’s grass and little daily
projects I try to keep moving off my work bench. My truck is saying “What About
Me”. It is time for my yearly oil change
at 3,000 miles or less ever July like clock work since my 2003 retirements.
    4. ** Please share opinions on the 3,000 mi or less
oil change. I had to change ea 6 mo when
the truck was in 4 yr warranty. Due to a
requirement of 6 months/5,000 miles I have changed with 1,000 miles in 6 months.
I use Castrol 5-30 with a synthetic blend as the Dealer.
    5. **My last issue is my therapist is telling me my
pain is from laying flat on my back on
my mat to change oil. I need to add 2-4”
to my oil change ramp that would allow a pillow on my creeper. My thought is using my floor jack to lift a
little body weight while the 09 V6 2WD Toyota 4- Runner is on the ramp (vs
adding to the ramp). I like changing my
oil due to personal care and inspecting the area and oil. Opinions!

    I purchased at 43,000 mi 12/24/10, I have 53,000 mi on now
which is close to my yearly average. I
purchased for off-road firewood and fishing and hauling “Stuff” in the truck
shell that stays in unless the 2nd seat is needed.

    ** Attachments = Oil
change ramps and local 1 block – 2 Mi firewood hauling.

** Keep that body moving with cautions or it will shut down
    on normal light past maintenances…..

    The photo attachments
are not friendly or I have too much text.

As to your oil , yes Dino and Syn Blended oil use is good for used engines with some milage , especially when you have no idea of what oil was used previously . I did the same back in the day prior to the New Generation Full Synthetic Oils. I change at 3000 mi or 5000 km with new premium grade filter (Wix or Kralvinator). I do not believe in extended change intervals due to Syn Propaganda. Oil is a serious consideration within your investment. I feel your pain within aching joints Bro ! After 60 + Yrs age catchs up with you lol . A little at a Time , Your semi retired so always leave a little for tomorrow .

My yearly oil change normally in July @ 3,000 mi or below is
still on my list as I am finding plenty other chores (Scheduled and New). Never in a dream would I have thought I could
slow to this pace. Even with the new I
stayed closer to my old pace.

The new today was cutting stacking 2 small loads of Red Oak
and Elm from a street over. Yes! Elm that I had passed knowing it was not Oak
as I was told. Cut to length with solid dark centers and solid with seasoning
cracks. I knew I had burned it and some
sold it mixed with oak in a Mixed Load for a little less.

The City’s Bulk Pickup got the remainder of all today. I can remember when I c/n find a stick of
wood w/o purchasing or driving a distance.
That influences me to not passing mainly choice Pecan and Oaks monthly
    now.

The bottom line is I am still trying to show my Oil Changing
Ramps vs the 8” high we built for pulling VW engines in the 70s. I am being challenged in Windows XP and 7 and
my Pics are sized to approx 1.6 MB.

    Bingo!
