How does it hook to the lamp?

My hanging lamp has a screw around the light socket and thus, it needs a big opening to go around that socket.

This fixture has a modified spider assembly that is open on one side to slide onto a stem or can rest on a standard harp. It sounds like you need an UNO type assembly that can go over the socket. Unfortunately we do not have a shade with that type assembly - Destination Lighting
