People don't can in Puerto Rico. I haven't seen anything used here.

I have never seen granite ware boiling water canners, I was not aware that there were granite ware pressure canners.

I'd stick with Presto. A new one is not hugely expensive, and you will have it for a long time.

That would be my recommendation. The granite ware one has never been USDA tested for accuracy. Given the thinner material the odds are it is going to heat up and cool down much faster thereby voiding the processing times called for. But what really concerns me is the thinner walls would be much more prone to warping.

Lastly it has the appearance, handles, and weight system of the old Mirro models and there have been lots of complaints about them.

I'm checking eBay. We get priority usps here, so shipping shouldn't be an issue, unless they only do ups. That gets expensive here
