i'd change the posts to beefier ones, as you say, first step, and the arched soffit to a straight across one at the same time.

shutters should give the illusion of being able to close over the windows, but if you like yours, so be it, the porch is more important.

paint the downspouts which cross the brick a medium neutral color that matches the mortar perhaps.

the house across the street from us painted the whole thing, brick and siding in a nice warm beige and then painted the shutters hunter green..It looks so much better as one unit . Like the beefier posts

How about painting it a sand color (the color of the grout of the brick)? I found a photo of what I was thinking of.

I agree, a nice sand or earthly color for brick and siding, replace the garage door with a wooden garage door, carriage type door. Paint the front door and shutters with a sophisticated color to compliment the house color. pull out the shrubs and widen the plant area to follow (wrap around the side walk, use box woods and a bit or fall color foliage, maybe a few hydrangeas. Have fun with it.

what does everyone think about this COLOR with black shutters?

Not doing anything to garage door except new hardware as the door is new.

I like that color of green, and the black shutters, but I think it may not work with the amount of red brick you have. You could try a cream that has undertones of green, which would look nice.

I like the green siding and white trim but I would remove the shutters.
