I'm painting several rooms in the house we just moved into. the main living rooms (dining/entry & living ) have only 2 windows on the north side, each. There's a little southern light coming through (1 person) doorways into the adjoining rooms. We may be able to add a couple windows on the west & east ends in the future, just aren't doing that this year. I'd decided on ' agreeable gray' ( the house has a lot of brown trim outside & some dark wood inside) for the light gray I want in these 2 rooms (along with Valspar's 'proud peacock' accent wall & under a chairrail height ledge on 2 walls, in the living room). Now before I go get the Agreeable gray I'm wondering if I should do it at 80% ? I've even heard 70 or 75 % but I'm worried that may be too light, I do want it to look like an actual color on the wall, & contrast with things. I can't really afford any more paint samples or too much time ( someone coming to help me paint on fri.) I'm also afraid of not being able to make the right decision even with a couple samples.
