We are looking at buying a place with a Chad double on the property.

Where? New? Used? On a permanent foundation? On piers? We need a lot more info.

It is a 1984 set up on a lot, it has a steel roof set on piers.

Considering its age, it really makes no difference who the manufacturer is. You look at it like any other place. How was it maintained, what is the HVAC like, how are the windows & doors working, etc.

In 1984 Chad could have been the Rolls Royce of manufactured homes. But if it wasn't maintained properly, it makes no difference.

I agree and it appears to be well maintained, I am interested in finding out what type of floor material was used also how much insulation in the roof and sidewalls.
