Also the art is too small to be there. Do you want advice like that or only furniture placement?

This is just the stock photo the apartment gives on its website! Any advice is welcome :) I'm willing to start from scratch even design elements! I have a tufted beige headboard platform bed.

I'd do this one except put your dresser on the wall directly across from your bed. Or if there is not enough space in your room for that, then put the dresser along the far wall (the wall on the top side of the drawing)

And absolutely put up curtains. If you don't, you will constantly be being awoken by headlights, sunlight, and whatever else.
You should put the curtains up very high and wide since your room is small w low ceilings

Don't do curtains! Too much mass for that space. Do a blind or shade insfead.

What size bed, double or full/queen? Get the bed and one nightstand first. Do not purchase a dresser until you have moved in, taped off the size of the dresser to see if it will work. For storage I would look at a nightstand with three drawers and 24-28 inches wide. Not sure how the closet is set up, but Rubbermaid makes a retrofit closet kit if all you have is one wire shelf across the top.

Oh, since it is an apartment and may already come with blinds, I would definitely look at lined curtains for the windo to help with the parking lot lights/cars. Go wide and go tall and probably just a nice linen shade or something neutral close to wall paint. Pottery Barn has great ones that you can easily find on eBay for a fraction of the cost. Just make sure they are lined.

If you can't do paint, you can try temporary wallpaper in patterns and/or solid colors (so it looks like paint!)
This is what I would personally do. Very light, calming colors. Not much fuss going on w art since it's such a small room. Mirrored furniture to reflect light and make everything look bigger. Contemporary style. Wasn't sure of your style so did something "style neutral." Can you add more pics to your ideabook for us?

Oh and you can also get ceiling lights that you screw into the ceiling and plug into an outlet (because in an apartment you can't install electrical pieces into the wall).

Tempaper makes temporary wallpaper (as do tons of other companies) and this is the style of chandelier you could get w the plug. Obviously you could get one that's not black against white walls lol (and I am of course suggesting a bigger one hung over your bed)
