A supplementary heater helps a lot.

That space (53x36) is much too small for a doorless shower.

Olsenla, how big is your shower & how big is the bathroom?

judylvsfl, the walk-in shower is 4' wide by 5' deep. The total bathroom (master) is 9-3/4' wide and 8-1/2' deep, with a 35" wide, 57" long entry hall next to walk-in closet. The heated floor is laid in the main area in front of vanity and toilet, and into the shower. Here are photos.

doorless showers are great as long as they're built right

we have a combination vent and heater in our shower ceiling; in the winter we run the heater during showering, change it over to vent when we're dried off and leaving the bathroom.

but your shower does seem a bit small to go doorless. 24" is small for the opening and the 30" of remaining glass is too small as well.

What if we make the shower 3' wide by 5' long with a 28" opening & a 32" half wall? Olsenla, your bathroom looks beautiful! I did not know you could have a heated floor in the shower! Nnigrt, do you remember where you bought your vent/heater from? I have not seen many that you can put into the shower.

we removed our huge tub and installed a huge shower. the glass wall covers about 2/3 with no door. I love it! however my husband says it's too cold so he uses the guest room bath which has not been remodeled. so I gave the beautiful remodeled master bath to myself

@Judy how did your remodel go? I am in the middle of a similar situation (5'x3' shower, looking to do a pony wall with glass above and no door). Contractor is suggesting 24" opening into shower but that feels really small to me. Would love to know how it went for you and if you like how it turned out!
