I have planted a water lilly in a gravel bog made out of wine barrel. The bog is cycling water with another half, where fish swim.

the lilly leaves are turning black, one by one, rod and fall off.

There may be some sun shortage, as barrel's rim cast shadow - only 2-3 hours of direct sun light a day.

Any idea what is the problem and how to solve it?
