Hello, we've put down grass after a remodel because we didn't have any better ideas. We'd like to put something in the planter areas--the step area has 2 half ovals, 10 feet long by 2 feet at the widest, each, dry soil except for irrigation. The soil by the tree is 11 1/2 feet long by 4 feet at its widest--this area is mostly shady and fairly moist. Both areas are irrigated. I'd like the plantings to be hardy perennials and water wise. I don't want pink. Any ideas?
