I've been having a problem with the native trumpet creeper that ran rampant from the previous owner of the property. I used glyphosate, but it kept coming back due to its thick roots. Basically it just killed the foliage.

When I went to take care of the yellow nutsedge issue with mesotrione (tenacity), I sprayed some of the trumpet creeper and it worked. You just have to make sure to read the instructions and not spray it on or near your desired plants.

i also tried synthetic auxin mixtures with and without glyphosate. The auxins seemed to help trumpet resist glyphosate.

Not in spray form that I know of. I got it online. A small container will run about $60, but a little goes a long way and you can use it in your lawn too (assuming cool season grasses). Oh and you will want to use a nonionic surfactant.

Some plants are waxy or otherwise hydrophobic causing water and sprays to bead up on the leaves. Those need to be mixed with shampoo or another wetting or sticker agent.
