Plymouth was just on the outskirts of the Tropical Storm Warning area.

Mostly wind with occasional sprinkles but there was one very short period of heavy rain before it went back to occasional sprinkles. A local personal weather station 5 miles away says 0.61 inches of rain and this is consistent with the level in a 5 gallon bucket in my yard.

I'd been watching the weather maps online and there were just a few areas of heavy rain embedded in a lot of meh. I was getting more and more upset because we really need rain and the weather forecasts kept downgrading the amounts to come. At least we did finally get a decent amount although we still need more regularly.

No particular damage.

Claire

We got perhaps a bit more than Claire, as far as I can tell, just under an inch (?). I'm on the upper Cape, and the totals varied a lot across the Cape. Maddeningly, it only sprinkled for the longest time, while the winds were wild...and I really thought we'd get the worst of Hermine (high winds & no rain=more damage, fire risk, etc.) But then finally it began to rain in spurts in the evening.... However, yesterday I dug in the garden & it's still bone dry below the top inch & a half. :(

I'm not home, but DH said that he got nothing at all at home, so it went out to sea before it reached central NH. We've had a few good rains in August, but nothing for the last two weeks or so.

No rain here along southern Connecticut. The storm fizzled.
