Where's Cancork Flooring? That's who you need to answer your questions

My recommendation for refinishing the original cork flooring is to talk with an experienced wood floor refinishing person. They should be able to help with that. As it relates to the new cork flooring, the installation is only as good as what is underneath. Have professional installer check the condition of the existing linoleum flooring and make a recommendation. In the past, we usually do a full adhesion (glue) down and not a floating installation.

I don't know how I missed this...but I believe Ms Frey has already received her order from iCork Floor....so I guess they have helped her out with this dilemma in other ways;-)

And yes, Michael Menn is correct. The subfloor prep is HUGE. Even a thick, solid, engineered cork plank can have issues if the surface below it isn't properly dealt with.
