Frozen Quilt Panel

Finished it over the week-end and it's all boxed up and ready for the post office. It ended up being approx 46" by 56".

That's really sweet, Sharon. Like BK, I was thinking how happy some little girl will be. Are the borders part of the panel, or are they your work?

My borders start with the heart fabric and I used teal and white fleece for the backing. My ex-granddaughter-in-law is remarrying next month and she asked if I'd feel comfortable making a quilt for her soon to be step-daughter that she could give her at the wedding. Since Jaycie (great-granddaughter) has a few quilts I've made, there's no reason why her little step-sister shouldn't have at least one so I gladly was willing. It's just for cuddling and playing and Julie said she liked anything to do with Frozen so I went with the panel. Helped because of not much time, too. :-)

She's going to love it. It's such a sweet quilt. I really like your borders with the cornerstones, which tie all the colors together. Nicely done!

Bev2009, The border seams were quilting using the squiggly line on my machine (serpentine?) Two echo straight lines were quilted on the panel inside the border and then I outlined the girls and did some lines inside their dresses. I couldn't find the pink thread I was sure I had, so stuck a bobbin I had of that shade on the upper thread spool to use. :-)

Beth, I would, too! I'll ask Julie if someone can catch her expression.

Theresa, Yes, getting the hearts the way I wanted took a little planning. I had to go with the size of the hearts plus seam allowance when cutting. I'm surprised it looks as well as it does. I was stressed I wouldn't even get it close!

Sharon, the quilt is adorable! My granddaughter loves Frozen. I am making two panel quilts for her. One is Peppa Pig and the other is Shopkins. She is crazy about them too. I am just quilting the panels without adding borders. Peppa has been loaded on my frame for a couple weeks now. Hopefully I will get it quilted soon!
