Hey guys. I planted a peony root I got from Walmart in spring. I didn't do any research so I was unaware that the best time to plant them is in fall. It grew about 5 inches and then it's growth stunted. In mid August it died. I dug up the root, rinsed it off. Found a couple "eyes" (I think) and dipped it in kelp max water solution for about 10 minutes. I planted it in compost/soil mixture and it's sitting out in the sun facing SE @125° on my 3rd floor SE facing patio. I really want it to read grow. Any suggestions?
