This is the perfect time to plant your flower beds for next spring. You have your Hosta which you can continue all around the front. The sedum is perfect because of the height and will grow very quickly and do extremely well in the shade. Another is a phlox paniculata which comes in many colours and Shasta daisies which also do well and will fill that space nicely. You may also consider some astilbe which is beautiful. Even some green gem boxwood. Many options to choose from. Your hydrangea tree is gorgeous.
