My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Customizing an almost-finished new build!

My husband and I are moving for work, and our best option is a new build that already has espresso cabinets installed in the kitchen and bathroom. The builder is going to allow us to choose all other finishes - but white cabinets have always been my dream! How can I make a dark kitchen into my dream kitchen? My 'ideal' is an all white kitchen with gray and white granite and GOLD hardware. I'm well known for my love of gold. Has anyone ever done this combo with an espresso cabinet that's more brown than black?

    A friend of mine did just that with black cabinets- white marble counters and marble slab backsplash with gold finishes- it was stunning. I see no reason for dark brown to be a deal breaker on the look. Good luck and congratulations on the new house!
