I'd pass unless it is going cheap. Removing the stone is a lot of work. What is the mass under the garage peak? It looks like a massive mud daubers nest.

What do you mean "major work"? The woodwork can be painted, or use a solid-color stain. Lightening the woodwork will make a big difference in how the house looks from the street. If there is rot in the woodwork, you can replace it or have someone use epoxy to fix the bad spots. Epoxy is especially good, and much less expensive for fixing rot around windows and doors. I think it's worth it to replace the garage doors with a less dated style, but paint can do wonders. Pointing-up the grout of the stonework is not that big a job. You can
paint rockwork the way you would paint brick, but any repair work should be done first and
allowed to cure properly.

This house is "ranch meets Swiss chalet". The rock exterior and the scroll-sawn fascia over the gables are typical of chalet style, but the roof pitch and one-story floor plan are ranch. It seems obvious to me that the brick fence was added later, and may have been painted or white-washed at some point.

travertine tile would look nice

The exterior is a major overhaul. So many different styles together. I'd hate to see the interior.

I'd smooth stucco either the brick wall leaving the row lock on top or the whole house and get some plantation shutters and wrap the gable fascia with wood grained aluminum fascia. Replacing fascia is near impossible unless replacing the shingles which look to have life in them. If not I'd replace it with 8" fascia.
