I think you could have a stainless side panel made by a fabricator

Keep in mind that most stainless appliances have some black accenting on them. I would caution you to be very careful in painting the sides as they are subjected to some heat. I would have them professionally done. As far as a stainless steel panel is concerned you could certainly have one fabricated. Again a caution, any changes to the range will violate the manufacturer's warranty. If you have any issues with the range and they even think that your modifications could have caused it it won't be covered under warranty.

Thanks for your advice. No decision yet, but my latest thought is to have a wooden panel built that looks like my cabinet doors and attach it to the floor and wall covering the side of the range. The range sides are soooo ugly.

That's a great solution that won't interfere with your warranty!
