No, not Durham region but you could take a road trip to Vineland Nurseries (near St. Catherines) or Whistling Gardens (south of Paris)

i mail ordered about half of my collection .. pretty sure whistling offers such ... or used to, anyway ...

ken

Whistling Gardens probably has the best selections and it has a 50% off sale on all stocks now. They also supply to various Nurseries in southern Ontario. Vineland also has interesting selections. Lost Horizon in Acton has some. I understand Plant World in Toronto have good selections but have not tried there myself yet. Very few places in the US are still willing to mail order to Canada. Canada (east of the Rocky) is probably the worst place in the Western world for buying conifers and ornamental maples. (Sigh)

I checked out Plant World online and they are in the west end in Etobicoke, so I think I will opt for a day trip to Whistling, it is just over 2 hours away. The problem now is: how to hook up the trailer without arousing suspicion (-_-)

Also a couple of hours from you in Hanover is Yesterday's Garden. If in area, check out brochure for Rural Gardens of Grey Bruce for gardens to visit for unique ideas of garden design with lots of different plant material. If you go to WG, prepare to be blown away. Fantastic place and Darren is a great guy and very willing to help.
