Not sure what sort of stucco you're looking at. Will you be painting, do you want integral color- or what?

Without an onsite contractor, I might suggest that you work backwards, with suppliers in the area who can give you references to appropriate contractors for this sort of install.

Example: Let's say you were looking for integral color- smooth, no-paint-maintenance etc?

You might find that La Habra product is for you. You could call these people and ask for recommendations:

Just an example, but working backwards, getting references to solid, quality stucco contractors/subs who install the product- no matter what you're looking for- might be a good way to approach.

Funny story? Just finished a custom build in downtown area of Austin. Our contractor brought the "best of the best", in stucco contractors- great bid. He helped me a ton, even custom mixed a color (nothing complicated, but it was perfect) and then?

Before we were finished, he moved to Sweden. Left the end of his business to his brother, a lawyer. It all worked out, thanks be to my architect and contractor, but WOW.... That was the one place I wasn't worried about at all...Right up until I started to freak out. :)

Thanks for the email, glad you were able to get your project finished! After 3 years of managing my own major remodel I certainly know the feeling.

Smooth stucco finish is everywhere on industrial buildings but I have yet to get a quote from all the places that seem interested. I think next time I see a site going up and getting the stucco finish I'll just stop by and talk to the crew!
