Need some help with my old teens room

My teens sleep on the same room ( we live in Europe) how can I organize the place to avoid the bunk bed.

The only way I see to avoid the bunks is to do a twin with a trundle bed underneath it. All you would need is a set of bed risers and the trundle mechanism. They would need to be good about popping it back down and rolling it under during the day. Or they could leave the trundle on the floor level and out and have some big pillows to lean up against the twin while playing PlayStation (like a floor level couch when the trundle isn't put away).

Alternatively, if you all are handy enough you could build a loft bed perpendicular to the current beds with a library style ladder that looks more built in and stylish. Then replace the bottom bunk with one of the newer type futon couches (where the couch back folds out flat rather than the floppy old style futons pads on a frame).

Either way, it will depend a lot on whoever has the bottom bunk to fold up his or her bed linens during the day. So maybe you can find a futon couch that has a bit of storage under it that the covers can stay in during the day.

Do you have room dimensions? Just a rough floor plan helps a lot. I love that you qualified that you live in Europe. Plenty of siblings share a room in the States. :)

When I visit America I see friends with big houses!!. I share a really rough plan and some actual pictures that it may help. The idea is to change the beds, they want to have the tv with the playstation.

You could replace the bunks with two beds that have drawers underneath and put the desk in the closet (you can find Houzz stories on this). It will be a tight fit.

Is the room 270cm including the closet or without the closet? What is the width of the room - I see 38cm, 40cm, and then I don't really understand the rest. How high is the ceiling? Sorry for all the questions - it just makes it easier to figure out the space.

The total width of the room is 2,70, but there is a window/door in the middle. The cupboard total is 2,70, then you have the door. Thank you!!

Other than a trundle, I don't see another choice other than bunk beds, due to the window also. Wondering if by changing the décor, they might keep the beds or go with a different style. You could also reconfigure the closet for desk and storage. On the long wall, add something modern for their storage (2nd pic) and place tv above. Instead of traditional bunks, you can have them in an L shape, with the head of one under the other.
