Remove shutters on lower level. They are not and cannot be sized properly. I suggest a smokey blue/gray color for the rest.

In addition, pull out the clumpy, overgrown plantings and start with fresh landscaping. Fall is a great time to plant for spring bloom. You can get a local nursery to help you with an overall plan that you can work at as budget allows.

Thank you all! The darker colors look great on the shutters and doors. Would you leave the trim white/cream? No bright front door?

Also I do agree on the plantings. The landscaping needs help for sure. There has been a big dog living there who has dug holes in places to get cool. Luckily we have a good friend who is a landscaper who we can ask for some advice in that area. :)

Many of the people on this forum like colorful front doors, but it seems to me that the decision about a front door should be what might look good on the house itself. I think the charcoal color works with your brick well.

I would replace the front door. That Victorian thing isn't appropriate for this mid century house. Choose something with windows that echo the garage doors.

Also, paint your downspouts the same color as the brick.
