Anyone know what house this is? Looking for house plans

We are looking for the plans to this house. I really I want to see the floorplan - anyone know what house this is and where we could find the plans? We are planning on building as owner builders in the spring and we are looking into house plans now. Thanks!

Its a simple enough design that you could use it and design your own plan.

Looks like a basic cape with:

    - 3 dormers on the front

    - full shed doormer on the back

    - wrap around porch on 3 or maybe 4 sides.

Interesting that the front rooms on the first floor only have 2 windows facing the front ... those will be dark rooms with that porch.

You can do much better than the house in the photo!

gthigpen -love your plan - especially having the nooks in each of the upstairs bedrooms. Very nice. And a ton of other features too - laundry, the mudroom area, not losing room in the great room from traffic flow, etc - lots to love!!!

It's very attractive from the front, but I don't care for the poked-out back. The porches are lovely, but if cost is a consideration, you could potentially omit the side porches without altering the look tremendously.

jannicone - Thank you. It was a lot of back and forth and compromises between us and our architect but overall we love it too. Hoping we can get started building it soon!

Thanks guys! I have no imagination when it comes to house plans. I think I need to tour a bunch of homes before we settle on something. Since getting married 11 years ago we have only lived in two homes - a very small, very poorly laid out chalet style mountain home (900 sq ft) and now we are living in a 3 bedroom single wide (980 sq ft) on the 20 acres where we are going to build. All I know is what doesn't work!

I like the look of that house and I actually like the shed roof in the back so we can get a full floor upstairs. We are planning on getting an architect to help us with the home but I need someplace to start!

And I agree, there are not enough windows on the front.

Your "someplace to start" with an architect will be your needs and wants; not a floorplan.

How many people will live in the house? Where will it sit? Views? Accessibility? budget? and maybe an overall style you like (cape cod, for example, or farmhouse, or modern).

With a skilled architect, it won't be "this floorplan with these tweaks" or you'll end up with something that doesn't work.

Then, come back and post it at various points for feedback here.

    Good luck
