Patricia is right. Designers work on solutions to specific problems. The more information you have the better. Asking anyone "What would look good?" is asking for a lot of conflicting information. Also, verbal descriptions of materials are much too vague. To answer a visual question you need to state it visually.

I can't even tell if you're looking for a color for the kitchen itself (like the backsplash) or for the rest of the house, somehow coordinating with the kitchen!
