Do you really need drapes on the windows? I love those windows-they are like Art!

You seem to have a lot of greenery outside the windows for cover-do you need drapes for privacy?

I love the chandelier but it might be too close to the ceiling to give enough drama to the room.

I think it's difficult to determine what lighting would look best without knowing the furniture type and placement in the room.

Also I find once we buy lighting we don't tend to change it too often so to be honest I'd 'suggest' you use a larger amount of the budget on these.

On my next project I plan to buy more expensive lighting and sofas, the two things that don't change too often. The other things can be saved up for

Definitely don't cut off the large window where the half moon begins. Install floor to ceiling curtains instead.

Hang your drapes all the way up to the ceiling in both rooms.

I think I'd opt for no curtain panels. you could use blinds if coverage is a must! the windows are gorgeous!

I take back my earlier comment - I misread your post. I thought you suggested to put the rod on top of the half moon. I would not put a rod in the middle of the window. I would put a rod across the top of window.

Thanks! :) We don't absolutely need window covering but it's open into our kitchen behind this and at night you can see everything so it would be more for privacy and be open most of the time.

I think the light fixture is too small for the overall size of the space, and is kind of getting lost. I would recommend a larger pendant chandelier that will be more dominant and will create interest in the space.

beautiful room. if that light is going over your dining table, it should not be a flush mount. You need a beautiful chandelier for that spot. since you like a little bling, any of these would work.
