A bench at a bar table makes no sense at all so get 2 chairs

Hmmm do I get matching chairs as the set? Or do I go with different chairs? Any pics would help!

I like the bench. It would be relatively easy and inexpensive to add color by recovering the seat cushions and adding a centerpiece in coordinating colors. What does the room it is going in look like? Can you post a photo? Need to also consider color of floor and surroundings, so it would help to see them.

That's where the table will be. No rug yet either

Are you sure you want a counter height table? Most people I know who bought them regretted it.

I have another regular dining room, so this is different for us.

I'm open to anything that would make the table have more color. I did return the bench, the table and chairs come today.

I would just make sure chairs are comfortable even if you have to add cushions on the wood ones. I wonder if it will be hard to move chairs if there is a rug? i will wait to see how it looks with the table. Good luck..

What type of style do you generally gravitate towards? I think a bold pattern would look nice with the dark wood, but it would depend on what your dining area looks like, of course!

It's totally ok if it's taller than your kitchen counter, unless you get a custom table made odds are the heights will be a little different.

I think the color is fine. Are you committed to keeping the fan with the light? I think a chandelier would help. Since the chairs are higher is it going to be harder to scoot up to the table on a rug? I don't have any experience with that.

I don't like it at all. It's going back. It's way too big taking too much space in my eating area. I think we should do a rectangular shape.

That other picture is one of the previous owners of this home. Yeah I'm kinda bummed but like you said it's hard to tell. I rather get rid of it than get stuck with it

I agree. I have made some terrible mistakes over the years. I actually liked the color. I think the contrast was fine.
