Shrub id needed please

I have several shrubs that have been overtaken by shade which I have thus never seen bloom. I had assumed they were leggy spireas of some kind. But the leaves are not like other spireas on the property, so i'm not sure. Before I move these, can you tell me what I have? The first is looking straight down. You can see the caning branches below. As you seem from the following photos, some leaves are almost smooth while others are more jagged. Thank you!

    They look like spireas to me, though t's a bit difficult to tell due to out of focus and angle.
