Thanks for the question. These were 'off-the-shelf' cabinets, meaning, they are not painted a custom colour!

However, that being said, they are a soft white and a semi-gloss type finish. Meaning, they are not bright white (or blue white- but more 'yellow' white) and they are not a high gloss finish.

The finish, however, is not matte. We would not normally recommend a matte painted finish for cabinets as they are harder to keep clean. Most painted cabinetry from a 'mass production' supplier are sprayed on in the factory, over MDF doors (as wood doors will shrink and expand, allowing painted surface to 'crack' over time- especially in the corner areas) and the finish will last for quite a while.

Please be sure you are aware of the reputation of the supplier you choose, as it's important when selecting mass produced cabinetry.

For the record, we do use lower priced mass produced cabinetry (like Ikea) if the client's budget will not support a higher cost supplier - and they work out just fine!
