I think the sconces look okay except for the candles. Can you switch those for something a bit chunkier? You might be able to slip something thicker over the existing ones. We used to drill holes in beeswax candles to have them slip over candelabra sockets for one of our chandeliers, but we only used 15 watt light bulbs in that chandelier.

I adore the sconces and the whole vignette. I agree the mantle could be beefier, but somehow it all works - really well.

I'd consider staining the mantle a darker color to match one of the colors in the stone so it isn't so obvious that the mantle is so lightweight.

I just have to say that is a beautiful room! The sconces look fantastic and are just the right touch. I wouldn't want to put anything heavier looking up there.

I think just like the mantle needs to be beefed up so do the scones. Love the style of them but think they should be chunkier.

I like that they are a little delicate like the heron. A little contrast is nice. I love your room just the way it is.
