Is it ok to put kitchen back splash directly onto drywall? We have been told that we should cut out dry wall and put durarock to prevent the wall from becoming rotten years,down the road. We are building our forever home & want it to last, but also discouraged because we are in the last stages & didn't expect to have such another major project to do.
