I think it looks nice. Embrace the bluishness.

I actually think it has a sage green hue and I think it goes well with the colors in the middle of your rug.

Aw, thanks y'all! It's hard for me to tell how much my strong negative reaction is from it being different than I expected vs. actually disliking the color...

Would still very much be open to suggestions on toning it down, though obviously changing my attitude presents the least amount of work, haha. ;)

On my monitor it looks sage green, much better with your beige walls than grey.

( Actually, changing one's attitude is probably the hardest thing to do.)

My monitor too it is sage green , change lighting and your rug is too small . I do agree i like the color better with the beige walls too

There's a bright green console table that you can't see in this photo, it's behind where I was standing. I wonder if it would look so green if that was in the image as a reference point. I definitely haven't picked up on the sage thing in person, if it leaves the blue spectrum it sometimes leans toward periwinkle purple. I'll look at it again with an eye for the sage tinge, though!

Looks gray to me

Some grays are neutral. White and black mixed together. Like a military boat. Some grays are warm and some grays are cool. Some grays have an undertone, usually green or blue, but I've seen grays with almost a pink undertone. Your's may have a blue undertone, but its still a gray color. Your yellow rug is popping the blue. I bet if you put that table on a black rug, it would look different to you.

The additional pictures show the blue tones. Gray is tricky, our "geige" turned bluish / violet in our liv / dining rooms. Having it repainted. :(

I've read that golds and beiges can bring blue out in grey. I had the same problem AFTER testing 2 dozen greys on several walls! Ugh...the look blue for n some lights..I wanted true grey. :(

I think it's very nice! Try a warm white instead of a cool white lightbulb. Maybe that's contributing to the problem. Unfortunately the rug is too small. You should be able to pull out your chair and still be on the rug.

It looks nice! I agree more of a sage-y tone in the first pics. I agree with changing out the yellow rug to another color (and size) would help.

Before doing anything else, remove the rug and put a plain white bedsheet under the table. If the color looks good, the issue is the rug's color.
