Inherited quilt top...trying to decipher pattern

My grandmother died last year, and I inherited, along with my sisters, her quilting studio. Since I am the most interested in learning how to quilt, I was given just about everything that wasn't finished. I have what looks like a quilt top in a container, in pieces, not sewn together. I have been trying to figure out how its supposed to look, but I can't seem to figure it out and there was no pattern with it. If someone could help me make sense of it, or point to a place I can look at patterns she may have been using, that would be awesome. Here are the dimensions I measured out in inches, these are cut sizes: 58-4x4 squares, 10-3.5x3.5in squares, 1- 5.5x5.5 square, 5-3.5x3, 4 -2x2, 10- 3x3, 13- 5x5, 10-2x 4.75, 203-2.5x2.5 (these seemed to be stacked in piles of 69, 39, 61 and 34 squares), 63- 2.5x6, 92.5x 6.5. There were other pieces that might be scrape or might not, the sizes just didn't match the others, they were single pieces.

To me it sounds like she was cutting scraps into sizes she used a lot. Perhaps you will find a sketch or pattern in her other things.

Various sizes can be put together into so many various designs. And maybe she had pieces for several quilts bagged together. Maybe you can look at Quilters Cache website where they have thousands of blocks and see if anything looks close. And, remember you don't have to come out even. Even if you use only a part of them, you are a success for trying. Good luck.

Lots of quilters cut their scraps into certain sizes so they have them ready when inspiration strikes, so that could be what they are.

Like the others, I think she was trying to get her scraps under control. As Beverly said, maybe there's a sketch somewhere. Although, I don't understand the uneven squares...... 5X6.5 and 3X3.5. Have fun going through everything. :-)

She was a master quilter, She could have been working on her own thing. There are a lot of sketches and templates I am looking at, plus notes stuck in books, just nothing that was with the box. I guess I may never find out. I keep taking it out of the box its in and trying to piece it together, but can't figure it out. Even tried to get my 5 year old to help come up with some design ideas, lol. They all look like they should go together, judging from the patterns and colors of the fabrics, they all seem to match or coordinate with each other, so I thought it was all one top. I kinda wanted to do it they way she was going to, one last quilt from her. But I guess she will still be in it.
