Do I match lighting over island with table lights or go with different.

Do you need more light above the island?
Given the proximity to the pendants, I would not add more pendants..I think it would to busy, visually

If you need more light, then see if you go with a single large pendant..something linear

I don't necessarily need more light but I felt that the space was empty. I wasn't going to go with multiple pendants. Maybe just one larger pendent

One would probably work ok. Are those pendants off centered compared to the table? It looks that way from the photo

The pendant hang off the edge of the table. Design flaw with table space.

That looks too modern for my space. I like a restoration hardware look.

I would not ad a second focal point. Right now it looks modern and not cluttered. I you really need more light in the island section I would incorporate more spot lights. They are flushed and dont fight with the other elements.

You could pick something that is not too modern and probably more opaque so it doesn't interfere with the pendants

I would put the light you have "over" the table above the island, and get a clear bulb look light for over the table, swagged so it's actually centered on the table. And save my money to get that small tray area removed. It serves no purpose.

Move the lovely linear, multi pendant light to over the island where there is the space to appreciate the fixture.

Then address why the recess in the ceiling doesn't align with the bay that holds your table. That detail is a gross mistake IMO. I would then have only one light over your table.
