My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Board and batten

What material was used for the board and batten fireplace surround? Is it non combustible material?

Would love to create this look.

We were building a house in British Columbia, Canada and got a lot of pushback from our builder about using combustible materials that close to the fireplace opening. We were able to accomplish a similar look using Hardie boards on cement fibre wallboard.
