End stages of a very long kitchen remodel via Design- build firm... I was tearing out the hood vent and noticed debris falling out. I've been told it's completed and past inspection. So I got up to take a closer look and this is what I was able to take pictures of... hard to see but the back side has completely split open. I also don't understand why it's not straight up. We did move the range over a foot but I was never informed this meant they would be unable to reroute the vent pipe to be right above the range... FYI ...my husband is a 5 yr cancer survivor and adequate ventilation is imperative to his health due to decreased lung capacity he now has from the effects of radiation and Chemo. Thanks in advance... just need to check with all of you.
