My kitchen and family room are adjoining. Must they be the same color? I painted the family room and love the color (though it does not come through well in the pics below). I just fear it would be too much green and enhance the "bowling alley" effect to paint the kitchen green as well. I'm trying to figure out if it would make sense to add molding or something to the wall above the half wall that separates the rooms. What are your thoughts? Should I just paint the rooms the same color, add molding for a transition so I can do a neutral in the kitchen, or do something else that hasn't even crossed my mind?
