Quartz for Kitchen

Hey everyone! We went to look at the MSI Marbella White Quartz yesterday- it was beautiful but I'm having a hard time seeing if anybody has ever used it before?? I'm pretty sure it's a new product but was just wondering if anybody had opinions on it! Thank you!!

never heard of it, maybe some pros can weigh in on this brand. I will caution that the pictures from the website show a lot of movement, not sure what your other elements are ie cabinets, backsplash and flooring

I doubt there are many more new quartz factories coming on line. This is probably coming from an existing plant that is simply rebranded.

I only like the quartz and other composite stones that are solids/don't try to look like granite or marble. Cause fake anything is always slightly tacky, IMO.

Thanks for your opinions!!! Do you like Frosty Carrina or Misty Carrina from Ceaserstone? We are doing white shaker cabinets and have dark hardwood.

Are you claiming that composites can never be scratched, Joseph? Because that is not the case.

A quick Googling of "scratched Caesarstone", "scratched Silestone", "scratched Marmoglass", and "scratched Corian" yields thousands of photos.

I haven't heard of that but what I used was vento extra and it's gorgeous. Super durable as well.

    That looks nice, Marie.

The ones I saw that I strongly disliked were the Caesarstone Carmel and Savannah.

I have msi marbella being installed this week in my white kitchen. I went with it over the shadow storm quartzite, cashmere carerra, etc due to the color and shine of the veining. I also had msi installed in my master bath last week and love it!

this is marbella quartz from msi..it has glitter ice look in grey veining.

I paired it with carerra thosso, cashmere carerra, and shadow storm. I have pics of them all as it took months for me to finally go with marbella. plus I think msi products are very high end in appearance and their sparkle like is unique.

msi stellar white that I installed in my master bath.

Beautiful bathroom! Thank you! What color are your cabinets in your kitchen? I'd love to see a picture when it's done!! I'm so indecisive, but my husband is really pulling for the Marbella.

My cabinets are white. I will definitely send you pictures this week. They were to be installed last week but I didn't realize that the apron sink required a cabinet person to trim and plumber to install prior to installation lol!

I also am planning on the MSI Marbella White quartz. I saw a slab and thought it was gorgeous. The slab I saw had some grey and taupe-ish brown veining. It did not appear to have too much movement at all.

Whatever you go with, make sure you select your slab in person. Even though these products are man-made, they are unique in color and pattern. You could be very disappointed if you make your decision from a sample. Bring a sample of your cabinet doors and any other permanent items you've already chosen to see how they'll look all together.

Thank you for posting these pictures- I don't live close enough to go view full slabs and these pictures are the best I have found!

Is Marbella White a bright white or off white/cream base?

It is not bright white, but it's not cream. More of an off white/light gray. Here is a picture of a bright white tile on top of it.

Or here is one of my white CB plates...

I went to MSI! My fabricator took me to Verona Quartz and their stuff is gorgeous! Honestly, way better than MSI. Totally check them out! I'm currently trying to pick between two of their Calacattas for my waterfall island!

    Hi Chris,

I also went to the MSI warehouse in New Jersey to see the slabs and I am going for the Marabella white. I also will be doing wooden cabinets similar to yours. Would you mind to post pictures of the floor you used? I am so confused. Thanks

So those pictures were from before we painted ;) we actually have black cabinets, brass hardware and oak floors. Attaching some pictures for you. Sorry it's a mess, and we are still working on some of the finishes.

It's gorgeous! Thank you so much!

For those that have the MSI Marbella White quartz, does it have any sort of sparkle to it? I saw one sample where it had some elegant sparkle to it which I really liked (it didn’t look like a glitter ball was throw at it like so many do), but the rest of the samples I’ve seen do not have a sparkle. Thanks for your help!

@sarielida - It has some aggregate looking specs that are a bit translucent, I would not call them sparkle...they are not glittery...but they can catch the light in a way that sort of reflects? I have a friend with sparkle in her granite and this is not that. I hope that helps!

@MarieCox , do you know the brand/name of the stone you used? It is perfection!

We went with Marbella white for our new kitchen and it looks gorgeous . Ember glaze cabinets on the perimeter.

What is a good paint color to go with the Marbella white

We have Madison white (valspar) in our kitchen and it’s a nice white/griege/putty. Baby Sands is a deeper putty if you want more color...some of the veining in the Marbella pulls these putty tones. This picture isn’t the kitchen, but since it’s mostly backsplash in all my photos this is a better representation of Madison White ;)

    What color are your cabinets?

The black ones? Not sure which you’re asking about, but our black ones are Tricorn black from SW

@tawana nicole can you post pictures of the msi stellar white in different lighting? I’m thinking of having it installed in my kitchen. We have gray wood grain cabinets and I picked a mother of pearl backsplash

Just went up to MSI yesterday. I chose Stellar White.
Does anyone know what color white to choose for cabinetry ?
