Step 1 - Take the black pot out of the glass vase and soak it for an hour.

Step 2 - Do that every week.

Step 3 - Fertilize sometimes with an orchid fertilizer (you can do it weekly, monthly or anywhere in between)

Step 4 - If you'll be away again for more than 2 weeks, have someone water your orchid for you.

It is dendrobium phalaenopsis, condition is rather good, just a bit dehydrated. Old canes will not be plump anymore, but it is doesn't matter. Pay attention to new growth! New growth will provide new roots and hydration for the plant. Orchid has a good light and looks like is free of bugs. And it has spike! Mine never bloomed because I didnt provide adequate light ( but I thought I did, oh well).
