Swap your hardware out for a satin nickel or even brass for more contrast!

For your rug, find an accent color that you love and pick a rug that incorporates it. Blue is a great color to pair with gray walls!

definitely change the hardware to something more up to date. The finish should be based on other things happening in the kitchen, like lighting, appliances, etc.

Definitely need to change the hardware to a satin chrome finish and more modern looking. This will give it a more updated current look. The flooring is good looking and I would pair it with a rug that is simple in pattern and has multiple shades of gray and the lighter tone of the wood floor. Good start to your renovation!
