Stick your finger down into the soil, if it is moist, don't water. If it is dry, water.

I'd also give it a good layer of mulch (though not against the stems) if you haven't since it will keep moisture and temperature more even. Since it's an evergreen, you will want to keep checking moisture until hard freeze. And I would change Logan's advice to "If it's almost dry, water." You don't want to wait until it's powdery dry. How often it needs watering depends on soil type (sandier retains moisture for a shorter time period), what precipitation you've had, and temperature.

This would be more true of deciduous plants than of evergreens which do not really become dormant in the same way, but even with deciduous ones it's a real gamble in Z5. By late November there is very little time for roots to become at all established before the arrival of serious cold and frozen soil.

it can still be done late ... but you might run across the issues above ... not enough time to settle.. and get turgid.. full of water ...

does your soil freeze .. if so.. its an issue..

if not.. its a lesser issue ...

once soaked in well at planting ... this time of year.. with no heat to dry the soil ... you probably wont have to water again until spring.. especially if you put that blanket of mulch ... but do insert finger and find out.. no guessing ...
