We live in Indiana all the houses up here are tan and neutral if I lived on the coast I think I would go light like yellow with white trim or something like that. We have a farm house up here want to trade?

Brights: In Miami downtown, turquoise and coral reflect the tropical vibe along with bright white. Not sure these would work on your exterior - but both would work with the brown.
You can go muted: Off-white or pale gray are muted colours (BM collector's item has a grey undertones so it could work) or you could go for BM pewter which is much darker but in the Miami light will lighten over time but have gravitas)
Or you can go white but add tons of bougainvillaea

My husband and I live in Kauai where it's tropical, like Miami. Our home also has brown, we also have a beautiful muted green and barn red. The color s are all in nature. We have many plants around our landscape that are the same colors, like Ti, Croton, and ginger. There's a app that I use on my I-Pad, it's called color change, you can take a photo of your exterior and then add different colors with this app, then you can see what colors look the best.
