Nice pictures! I heard about the moon for tomorrow and will be watching after I get off work. It was pretty big in the desert over the weekend while we were near octotillo riding.

Evan, I don't know why I didn't see this earlier!!! Thank you for such beautiful pics..I love them all..Is there any way you could take a pic with one of your beautiful citrus trees in the forefront looking at the sunset through the leaves? You know what I mean..? Like the tree as a silhouette....That would be an amazing pic, not to say all these others are too..Thank you))

Mikern The foliage on Evan's trees is so thick and green that it would not be possible to see the sun through the trees.

Evan, ok, I forgot your trees don't go bare like ours do here for winter..lol But at least get really close to one and have the sunset over and around the top of one..lolI I use to take photos and I know that would be a great shot! Steve got me on that one..ha

Evan; Very nice pictures. I would imagine you are still getting good temperatures still. It is wonderful how much better trees look when they are grown in the ground instead of containers. My own in-ground trees out shine anything I have in containers We just got our first long stint of cloudy no sun days. I put my container trees into their bucket lights for the winter.

Hey Steve, thanks, yeah it's starting to cool off out here finally. We hit a high temp of about 72 yesterday and a low of 47 last night. Looks like we'll be in the upper 60's for daytime highs all week and low to mid 40's at night for lows. We actually had a brief rain shower yesterday afternoon for about 20 minutes that was a nice surprise, my trees always green up after it rains due to the nitrogen content of rain water. I always enjoy checking out your light set ups on the forum threads, you're like the McGyver of indoor citrus growing.

Last year my last frost and citrus tree set out date cam march 7th. This was 4 weeks earlier than ever before. This same year Only one of my 3 garden have been killed by frost another has not seen frost yet any at my house about 1/4 of my garden is still unfrosted. This has been a record year for me and my growing season. Growing up in Cincinnati, we were considered a low 6a. I am now almost 7a. If Cincinnati started out a low 7a, I could now have in ground Arctic and Orange frost Satsumas and any one of these new Sitsumas as well. I do believe in global warming. Hang on Mike.

Hobby, I did nothing to those pics too, it's one of the perks of living where I do.

Steve, maybe in another 10 years you'll be a zone 8a-8b and you'll be able to plant more citrus in ground in your zone with the pace that global warming is going.
