WFF bulb rot

I just got my amaryllis from white flower farm which is the most expensive one I have bought, and it has rot.. it is big amadeus.. do you guys think this is OK to let slide or should I email them for a replacement? I was too scared to peel even more because it oozes brown liquid on the other side of the bulb. I didn't want it to have a hole because it's not that big at least 28cm and I don't want it to stress out.

    Keep peeling the bulb until you come down to clean flesh. Along the way, take pictures of the worst rot and contact them and send the pictures. If you send pictures that are convincing they should send you another bulb or make good some other way. Just make sure that if you successfully peel down to good flesh that there isn't any rot on the basal plate.

    I can't tell from that one picture just how deep the rot goes. They really should send you another bulb anyway, there's no excuse for sending rotting bulbs. That's one thing I find annoying about WFF is that they wait too long to mail their bulbs, obviously they've had them for some time as we all have received bulbs from other vendors many weeks earlier. Good luck....
