Agree as the lights here don't go with the room look. Go on Houzz shopping as there a thousands to pick from. It is during day time in photo, what is it like at night? You do need to change them, go with the brushed Nickel for them.

I think they're kind of "invisible". I think you ought to go with something stainless (to match other items in the room ... or a color.

I like them. They seem to match the kitchen's modern flair and their transparent nature makes the more important elements in the kitchen shine.

Your kitchen is lovely. I could see a nice long fixture there, maybe with a wave...I googled images of "wave bar crystal light" and thought that would add some softness to your space. Though it might be a pain to clean. Would swirly track lighting be too modern for you? Finding exactly the right thing, and then paying for it at the end of a remodel, is tough, good luck!

I can see the point of larger size, but not any more elaborate or eye catching with the style. Your wall, as pip dog commented is nicely designed with illumination from the lit cabinets, under cab lighting,interesting small window, and gorgeous tile that I keep staring at..... Something very simple in it's lines is all I would do, with a size increase being the compelling reason. If you wouldn't go larger, I would leave what you have...I like the understated nature but I'm only looking from the angle shown and you know if they work or not. Your kitchen is little bit magical...nice....don't need too much more.

Anyway, I don't think the pendants are necessarily wrong. I think the major problem is they are too high from the counter. They look disconnected from the counter.

Ideally they should be 28"-34" from the top of the counter or 72" from the floor.

Can u post more pics of the space? I'm inclined to suggest mixed metal in the pendants but want to see your other finishes, especially the aged brass in adjoining room.

I am not at the house but I have a video linked of the kitchen and adjoining great room. The still picture is the rug we are using in the great room. We are waiting on furniture for the house so I don't have any pictures of the other rooms furnished but there will be 2 aged brass floor lamps in the great room, black & brass fixture in the adjoining dining room and an aged brass fixture in the entry foyer.

Husband voted for the higher hanging lights as he is 6'3" and likes an open line of site from/to the kitchen. I think he would be hard to sell on the Feis pendants as they are opaque and hung a bit lower would be right at his eye level.

Had thought about these as they have more substance (10.5" x 15 3/4" versus the 8" x 7") to them than what is hanging now.

The island is 112" by 48" deep. We have cut so many holes in our ceilings throughout this reno that I think we are done! Sticking with the 3. This is in the dining room- the pendants we put in the kitchen are from the same collection but while I like them in the DR; not so much in the kitchen.

No matter what you pick if you hang them too high they will not look right because as mentioned, the connection between the counter and the island is missing. My sister is 6' tall and she hung hers at the proper height and it looks right. If you do the glass shades like you have, they will tend to disappear. Sorry but your husband is wrong from a design standpoint.

I agree. The new glass ones won't look much different.

I think the Feiss ones are overpowering your space and if your hubby wants a view through, the glass works better. I like what you have.

Yes, they definitely command attention. If you want them to disappear then get glass but perhaps as u said in larger size

If you like the look of clear glass so it disappears would you consider a glass with a tint of color to it . That would make it stand out more but still be able to see through it and not look as substantial as those metal ones .

The trend is to do two large vs three small pendants. The kircher ones hung lower would be great but we don't know the spacing you have.

Another option is large lanterns. I would do two and just leave the middle hole closed if you don't want to redo the holes and move the end ones in more

told DH to install the other 3- I like the bigger size and they look better lower- also pleased with the stainless in the kitchen rather than the black. will post a photo of all 3 when he is done installing/swearing!
