they have more there but you get the idea-very bohemian, young adult, and cute. they have 20% as well right now

but to tell you the truth-while I never tried to buy bedding from Urban Outfitters(I do have experience with their older sister brand, Anthropologie, and theirs are mostly amazing, and much more expensive too), I do have a couple items from Ralph Lauren(not Polo though), and the quality is usually there.

maybe you can just go with what she likes, given it's probably a nice quality comforter, unless you don't like it enough, or want the present to be a bit more unexpected.

Thank you. Are there any other recommendations for stores? She would like a dog print or some cute animal print, preferably.

see there are tons..but they are either not comforters, or too infantile, or already boutique territory..

here's Land of Nod..cute..but a bit too childish maybe? and not a duvet but a duvet cover

The Polo Teddy Bear comforters are no longer made, but there are some on eBay at this link. They have them in all sizes, but they are vintage. Polo Teddy Bear

This is not Polo, but it has similar teddy bears, and is a whole set including comforter, sheets and a valance in Twin size. 7PC TEDDY BEAR TWIN BEDDING COMFORTER PILLOW VALANCE

For an adult, I would get a decent quality down or down alternative comforter and then a print cover or an inexpensive print comforter. The comforter can last a very long time and go through a number of different covers as seasons or desires change. The animals and whimsy are fun, but for most adults, they would have a limited lifespan. And I am aa fan of whimsy.

The Company Store and Cucddledown have nice comforters in lighter weights, but they will cost more than some you will be able to find on sale. Macy's has some on sale this weekend and likely will have at least some on sale now through the end of the year. It will become a question of selection at some point.

You say she lives in a warmer climate. I am in Texas -- closer to Houston. We have the lightest weight from Company Store and only used it a couple of nights last year. It just didn't get cold enough. A down blanket or cotton quilt is plenty most of the time, but some years are different.

This one is flannel, but you could get a lighter weight duvet.

If you're going to go the duvet & duvet cover route, I'm really pleased with the duvet I purchased from Costco. They have several, but this is the one I have. I'm also in a warm climate, and I find it perfect for winter. The quality for the price is unbeatable.

As far as comforter vs, duvet & cover. A good duvet can last a lifetime if proper;y cared for. And the covers can be replaced as they wear, or just tire of the design. Comforters tend to be more disposable in nature. They are not designed for frequent washings or to have a long life span IME. So I think it would depend on what stage of life your niece is in. Is she looking to start collecting "forever" items, or still in a stage that possessions are more expendable?

Ikea!

I agree that depending on budget, I would go with a decent quality plain duvet and a print duvet cover. We have been happy with our duvets from The Company Store and they come in different weights.

They also happen to have a winter pups pattern on a duvet cover that is a little more grown up looking than some of the other dog options I have seen.
