"Floating" hot air balloons for nursery

Fell in love with this room. Does anyone know where to purchase these amazing "floating" hot air balloons with the little stuffed animals?

Thank you!

The baskets are pretty but as Patricia Colwell Consulting said, they should be hung far away from the crib so avoid the child pulling on them when he or she is able to stand.

Plus you have to 'duck' the hanging things when caring for the baby :)

Thank you for your prompt and honest responses. I totally agree with the impracticality of the the baskets, I was thinking more in terms of a temporary design until the baby can stand and reach for things- thus I haven't given up on this motif yet!!!

They look like paper Japanese lanterns inverted-- should be a simple DIY.

The three center ones are decals, the pink and white ones are real. Hope you achieve this look with your newborn's room.

I order some of these but in primary colors from oriental trading. they did not come with stuffed animals in the baskets but you could always add them.

As Patricia says, totally impractical. Also a bit unsafe. If you want things to interest your baby, hanging from the ceiling- smart, since baby will be on the backside, looking up- consider hanging mobiles that are interesting in pattern (black and white contrast is fine, pointing down) and are much safer than any ballon/basket that could spontaneously deflate/burst and potentially harm your baby.

Remember- this is a temporary space that should be designed for the comfort and safety of your baby. It perhaps shouldn't be a space where we show off to friends our design flair, at least in a place that could harm baby.

Etsy has some: Hot air balloons

As for safety, haven't many of us hung a mobile over the change table or bed? I'm sure you'd hang these far out of reach.

Thank you 902juanita for your input, I know you are coming from a good place and raising concerns around this design, which I appreciate. I can assure you the baby's safety is of the utmost importance, and we would never, ever compromise this to "show off a design flair" to friends- rather I was exploring this design to pay homage in a playful way to a legacy that is a source of pride for the family. My thought was to NOT suspend the balloons directly over the crib, but away from the crib-perhaps near a bookcase, with a Dr.Seuss "Oh the Places You'll Go" theme. I have in the past, in my classroom suspended paper butterflies over the class using fishing line- so I guess my background as a teacher, and my family's history is what piqued my curiosity into this aesthetic .

Ah- thank you for hearing me, within concerns. Nice to hear all your considerations, too, so if you do it, just make sure baby is completely protected. Paper butterflies in a classroom full of rambunctious, mobile small children are a far cry from balloons that could migrate/burst and land on a baby who can't easily move away, if anything goes wrong.

Take care, remember that in just a relatively few short months, this whole space will function differently. Use your obvious creativity, and have a blast. It doesn't last and before you know it, "baby" will be asking for the car keys. GULP- then it's "on"!
