I love this design! I'm buying a 69 ranch from a flipper, and he didn't do much of an update to the kitchen other than put down new flooring and paint the cabinets white. I'm saving your design as it's exactly what I want. I have two questions. I have a movable island, which I plan to take to my new house. It currently has a maple top on it and no area for stools. I want to put a top on it to match the counter tops, and I want it to have an area for stools like your design. How much should the counter top extend beyond the island to create a sitting area? And were the brackets custom designed or are they something I could pick up at the hardware store?
