Living Room Layout Dilemma

Hello,

I would really appreciate some suggestions for this living room layout that is turning out to be mission impossible for me. One of the major issues is that I already have a 3 meters TV storage piece of furniture that really needs to go on the 4.4 meters wall. If I do that, then I really need to put the couch somewhere just in front of the opening that leads into the kitchen. It seems kind of an odd layout because then the couch will basically be in the middle of the room, but I can't seem to think of a better option. To put the TV on the 4.4 meters wall and the couch on the 3.95 meters meters wall would create too much of a distance between them and that would look odd as well I think.
I'm really stuck in this one and I would really appreciate any suggestion.

Really if you can’t work in metric you really are in trouble. the conversion is a one minute job on your computer. My thing is I need to see the space to really help I need to see the T.V stand just a real picture is worth much more than just a floor plan.

I don't like the TV on the entry wall. I wonder if you can use the TV hutch for something else? Perhaps as a mudroom piece where you can store shoes and bags?

I'd like to see a picture of it as well.

So the TV unit is already packed for moving but I've manage to find a picture on the seller's website.
I'm not very keen on putting it on the entry wall either but all the cables and outlets are on that wall and I don't have 3 meters of continuous wall anywhere else. This is why it's kind of mission impossible. :(
I feel like adding that I will be renting this apartment after it's done so adding or removing walls is out of the question because I'm on a tight budget as well.

I think you can put the TV on that wall with a collection of seating facing it and allowing walk-through (lots of older townhouses do exactly this). Then I think you can put your dining table against the wall by the balcony -- you do plan to have someplace to eat?

Another option would be to get a smaller console and put it on the 2.76m wall, with your couch facing it (and an armchair on the entry side and maybe window side) and put your table in the corner by the kitchen. There should be room for a couch with still a walkway to the balcony door, and that leaves the entry feeling less blocked. I think with a small room and many passageways, you can't let an oversized piece of furniture dictate your choices.

@acm That's exactly why I'm torn about this decision, I don't want a layout where you enter the room and feel like it's blocked with furniture. Now I'm thinking how I could modify the TV unit to fit the 2.67 wall, as it is kind of modular.

Here is a picture of the space taken from the entryway, but I'm not sure it helps as it has no floors no nothing yet.

I have also taken all your input and tried to put it on paper. If you'll excuse my "magnificent" drawing skills, I've come up with these 2 possibilities. Which plan looks more practical to you and do you feel there is room for improvement maybe?
