Dutch door hardware?

We are going to install a dutch door as well, and I'm trying to figure out the hardware on this photo. It appears as though there is a deadbolt for the top door, a lock to lock it to the bottom door, but is that also a lock on the very top of the door?

Also, does the door handle for the bottom door have some type of deadbolt as well? That seems like a thick piece of hardware for only a door handle lock.

Any advice you could provide quickly would be greatly appreciated. This might be the type of setup we are looking for (especially whatever that is on the very top of the door).

Hello Craig! Traditional dutch door hardware, as shown here, includes a carpenter box lock, cane bolt at the top, dead bolt at the upper half and the special latch to keep top and bottom together. These are available through Michael Coldren Company out of Northeast Maryland. Tell Mike we recommended you speak with him from seeing Archer & Buchanan's "Canary Cottage" on Houzz.

Thanks. We love visiting the East Coast to see all the great architecture, but are stuck here on the West Coast land of Spanish, Tuscan, and Mediteranean...so it is difficult to find someone with cool hardware like this. I will definitely give them a shout, as our new door comes in today! ;-)

The fireplace was made by a group of amazing craftsmen that work for Griffiths Construction out of Chester Springs, PA. The fireplace was constructed by the mason out of firebrick at the back with plaster sides and surround with the woodwork by David Dougan out of Media, PA.
